INTRODUCTION
About TERRA Lab
Who we are and how we work.
Climate change is local. We measure where.
TERRA Lab studies climate at the scale people feel it: a street in August, a river in July, a school yard at noon. We combine long weather records, satellite data and our own rooftop sensors to understand how warming changes heat and rain in Korean cities.
Our results go back to the places they came from. We publish open datasets, brief city agencies and run climate workshops with local schools.
Principles
- 01
Measure before modelling
Every model starts from observations we can check.
- 02
Open data, open code
Datasets and analysis code are released with each paper.
- 03
Local first
We work at the scale of districts and streets, not only countries.
- 04
Explain plainly
A result is not finished until a non-scientist can use it.
