Research Overview
Three problems in one sky: small satellites, debris and constellations.

Small Satellite Systems
A 3U CubeSat has about 34 × 10 × 10 cm and a few watts to spend. We ask how to fit one useful job into that box, keep it alive for five years in a dawn–dusk orbit, and bring it down afterwards without propulsion.
-
Orbit Determination & Debris
Thousands of fragments share low Earth orbit with working satellites. We estimate where uncatalogued pieces are from short optical and radar arcs — and, just as important, how wide the uncertainty around that estimate really is.

Constellation & Ground-Track Design
A ground station hears a satellite only while it is above the horizon. We design shells — altitude, inclination, number of planes — so that a single station on the Korean Peninsula gets regular passes from every satellite.
Where the work happens
Rooftop ground station
UHF and S-band, tracks SB-1 on three to four passes a day.
Clean room
ISO 8 bench for CubeSat integration; booking through the lab staff.
Optical station
0.4 m telescope at the campus observatory, shared with astronomy.
